Experienced Psychologists In Arms Reach
The collective goal of our psychologists are to ensure your rehabilitation is heading towards the right direction. Therapy will take place in individual settings to ensure a safe space for residents to express themselves freely.
We make sure that our psychologists get to know each resident on a personal level, developing a professional relationship overtime to work toward the common goal sobriety and wellness.
Therapies Include but are not limited to:
Behavioral Therapy (CBT): This evidence-based approach helps patients identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors related to substance use. By developing healthier coping strategies, patients can manage triggers and prevent relapse.
Motivational Interviewing (MI): MI is a collaborative, person-centered technique that enhances the patient’s motivation to change. It involves exploring and resolving ambivalence about quitting substance use, thereby encouraging commitment to recovery
Contingency Management (CM): This approach uses positive reinforcement to encourage sobriety. Patients receive tangible rewards for meeting specific treatment goals, such as attending therapy sessions or maintaining abstinence.
Family Therapy: Engaging the patient’s family in the treatment process can address dysfunctional dynamics and improve communication and support systems. Family therapy helps rebuild trust and promotes a supportive environment conducive to recovery
Relapse Prevention Planning: This involves identifying high-risk situations and developing strategies to avoid or manage them. Patients learn to recognize early warning signs of relapse and implement coping mechanisms.
